Leading cable cos to participate in WAI 3-day conference

New Delhi, Sep 28 (UNI) Leading companies in the wire and cable industry will display their products and services in a three-day conference, being oranised by The Wire Association International (WAI) here, a global technical society for the industry's professionals.

The conference 'Global Technologies for Emerging Markets', to be inaugurated by Minister of State for Steel Dr Akhilesh Das, will be held between October 5-7. It aims to provide opportunities of networking and knowledge sharing in India, and is expected to attract over 100 domestic as well as international delegates.

Based in the US, WAI promotes, collects, and disseminates technical, maufacturing and general business information to the ferrous, nonferrous, electrical, fibre optic and fastener segments of the industry. In June 2006, it opened its Asia-Pacific office in Pune under the name of WAI Wire and Cable Services Pvt Ltd to support the local needs.
