Koda pays homage to JMM leader

Jamshedpur, Sep 28 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda and Jharkhad Mukti Morcha (JMM) supremo Shibu Soren today paid floral tributes to the slain JMM leader Nirmal Mahto at Uliyan here today.

Mr Koda and Mr Soren came here yesterday to attend a number of functions including the inauguration of Durga Puja festival.

Mr Koda was accompanied by Sudhir Mahto, the younger brother of Nirmal Mahto.

Sudhir Mahto had recently taken oath as cabinet minister in the Koda ministry and is tipped for the post of deputy chief minister.

Besides, several other Congress leaders including the Congress state president Pradip Kumar Balmuchu, a strong contender for the post of assembly speaker, were also present.

The chief minister soon left for Ranchi after the meeting along with Mr Soren.
