Jaya's good wishes to DPI leader
Chennai, Sep 28 (UNI) Reacting to the Dalit Panthers of India (DPI) severing ties with the AIADMK-led front and joining hands with the DMK-led Democratic Progressive Alliance, AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa today wished DPI General Secretary Thol Thirumavalavan well.
In a brief statement here, she said ''as a sister I would like to advise him that anger and haste will never reap benefits in politics.'' ''I wish him well, wherever he is,'' she added.
In a dramatic development, the DPI walked out of the AIADMK-led Democratic People's Alliance yesterday and joined the DMK-led front for the coming local body elections.
Mr Thirumavalvan told reporters he was insulted and humiliated by the AIADMK during the seat-sharing talks, forcing him to take the sudden decision.
''Besides allocating a lower percentage of seats, the AIADMK tried to dump on us unwinnable seats,'' he had claimed.
