IIM-A board to meet tomorrow to discuss seat expansion

Ahmedabad, Sep 28 (UNI) The Board of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad will meet here tomorrow afternoon to discuss the issue of the seat expansion.

The meeting is significant following the release of the final report yesterday, in which Veerappa Moily-led Oversight Committee has suggested 27 per cent reservation for the Other Backward Castes (OBCs). With this, the IIMs would need to expand seats by 54 per cent in order to retain the present level of general seats.

Among those who will attend the meet include its chairman Narayan Murthy, L&T chief A N Naik and other local members.
