Ganga-Jamuna culture: Roza iftaar at puja pandal

Lucknow, Sep 28 (UNI) A group of Muslims will break their "roza" at a Durga Puja pandal in Nawabganj in the neighbouring Barabanki district tomorrow.

The novel practice was initiated last year by a group of people in an attempt to bring the two communities closer.

"Since last year, Navratra and Ramzan had coincided.

Therefore, we thought holding such an event would help bring people closer and understand each other's culture and religion," Mohammed Saleem, one of the organisers, said.

Arrangements have been made to enable Muslims offer the Maghrib namaaz at the pandal enclosure, he added.
