Gang member arrested for attempting to steal money

Thrissur, Kerala Sept 28 (UNI) A member of a robbery gang was arrested here today while attempting to snatch money from gangsters involved in 'tube money'.

Police said one revolver and six bullets were recovered from the accused Praveen.

Praveen and others tried to pull out a passenger from a private bus coming from Kozhikode and attempted to snatch money from him.

However, others in the gang escaped.

Three bus passengers, who suspected to have carried tube money were also taken into custody for questioning, police added.
