Daily water supply in MCH limits from April 2007
Hyderabad, Sep 28 (UNI) Residents in the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) and 12 adjoining municipalities would get daily water supply from April 2007.
A decision to this effect was taken at a review meeting on the MCH and surrounding municipalities convened by the Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy here today.
Presently water was being supplied on alternate days.
Dr Reddy said the 12 municipalities should give priority to drinking water supply, sewerage and sanitation works.
The chief minister noted that project reports were prepared and Rs 1,025 crore was allotted for drinking water, Rs 1,450 crore for sewerage, Rs 470 crore for sanitation and Rs 300 crore for storm water drainage system.
He directed the Water Board officials to take up the task of providing water supply in the remaining eight municipalities of MCH.
