Cricket-Inzamam-ul-haq cleared of ball tampering - PCB official

ISLAMABAD, Sep 28 (Reuters) Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has been cleared of ball tampering by the International Cricket Council, Pakistan Cricket Board operations director Abbas Zaidi said today.

''I can confirm Inzamam has been cleared of the ball-tampering charges,'' Zaidi told Reuters from Karachi.

Pakistan forfeited the fourth test against England at The Oval last month when they refused to take the field after tea on the fourth day following a five-run penalty for alleged ball tampering.
