Cookie Man bags top honours at Images Retail Awards

New Delhi, Sep 28: Australian Foods India Pvt Ltd, an Indo-Australian joint venture, and manufacturer of fresh baked brand of cookies 'Cookie Man' has won the Images Retail Concept of the Year award.

The award was announced at the third annual Images Retail Awards 2006 (IRA) instituted by the Images Group.

The award acknowledged the company as being a benchmark in innovative retail concepts and was received by Australian Foods India MD John Lynch.

''The award comes as we celebrate six years in India and is proof of the growing popularity of our products across the country,'' Mr Lynch said.

The basis for IRA was industry nominations and performance details, though self-nominations that was compiled and assessed by process partner 'Technopak' and tabulated by global business consultant and advisors Ernst&Young set the parameters for judging retail business performances of the short listed best performers in each category.

The result of the analysis was sent to a distinguished panel of jury members.

Cookie Man works on a franchisee model and is one of the leading brand of fresh baked cookies in the country.

The IRA was the culmination of the India Retail Forum 2006 (IRF) organised by Images Multimedia earlier this month in Mumbai.
