CM favours remote and rural area alowance to medical staff
Jaipur, Sep 28 (UNI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje while emphasising the need for strengthening medical and health services in the state favoured special allowances to the medical staff posted at remote and rural areas.
The chief minister presiding over the review of the medical and health department called for a strong medical and health infrastructure said the department has to accpt the challenge that the people living at the far flung areas be also provided with the best medical facilities. She said 360 clinics would be developed at the panchayat samiti level where 24 hour medical facilites would be avialable.
Mrs Raje also informed that a district cadre of ANM would be formed and two ANMs in place of one should be posted at each sub centre to the convenience of staff and patients. She said GNMs would be posted at health centres in a situation of non avialbility of ANMs.
Besdies two staff nurses would be posted at every primary health centre. She said a gynaecologist, pediatrician, an anesthesia specialist and three staff nurses would be posted in every community health centre.
Referring to the Health Insuragence Scheme, the chief minister informed that this would be implemented as a pilot project in four districts in coperation with the Rajasthan Health System Development Project and the World Bank. Medical and Health Minister Dr Digamber Singh was also present at the meeting.
