BSF apprehended 12 foreign nationals
Agartala, Sep 28 (UNI) Border Security Force jawans of Lankamura Border Outposts (BOP) in Tripura's West District have apprehended 12 Bangladeshi nationals who crossed into Indian territory without any valid documents.
According to BSF sources here tody, the border guards arrested all the infiltrated persons who entered into Lankamura area without any valid documents in the past one week. They were handed over to the state police.
During interrogation, the foreign nationals told the BSF that they had entered India to see Durga Puja. But, the BSF was not satisfied with the reply, sources added.
It may be mentioned here that the BSF has also been alerted along the Indo-Bangla border with Tripura for maintaining strict vigil to prevent any attempt by anti-social elements, including militants from entering the state during the festival.
The BSF has identified vulnerable areas and mobilised forces throughout the state, police said.
