'UPA must respond to Pranab's comment on Pak'

New Delhi, Sep 28: The Bharatiya Janata Party today demanded an official response from the Manmohan Singh Government to Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee's statement at the United Nations and Harvard University that "Pakistan is a nursery of global terror".

"We will like to know Prime Minister Manmohan Singh or the UPA Government's comment on the statement of Defence Minister," said BJP spokesman Ravishankar Prasad.

If the Government also held the same view as that of the Defence Minister then the party would definitely like to know from the Prime Minister "the meaning of forming the Joint Mechanism with that country" to counter terrorism, he asked.
