Bharti Airtel appoints new directors

New Delhi, Sep 28: Bharti Airtel, leading mobile services provider today appointed Mr Gopal Vittal as Director (Marketing and Communication), and Ms Carol Borghesi as Director (Customer Service Delivery).

Mr Vittal with over 16 years of experience, will succeed Mr Hemant Sachdev, who now takes over as the Corporate Director Marketing for Bharti Group.

Prior to joining Airtel, Mr Vittal was leading the 1.3 billion euro laundry category in Asia.

Mr Vittal was recognised as one of India's Hottest Young Executives by Business Today (2006).

Ms Borghesi, before joining Bharti Airtel, was the Managing Director of 21st Century Customer Experience, a division of 21C.

Ms Carol was recognised as an exemplary leader in the United Kingdom and Europe.

Both Mr Vittal and Ms Borghesi will report to Bharti Airtel President Manoj Kohli and will also be part of the Airtel Management Board.
