Barnala lauds performance of TN Govt, GSSS
Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu Sep 28 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Governor S S Barnala today said that he is happy to inaugurate the 161 permament houses and infrastructure built for the tsunami affected people here, developed by the State Government and allotted by the district administration.
Mr Barnala while inaugurating the function organised by Guru Nanak Sarbat Sikh Sangat(GSSS) and the Leprosy Mission Trust at Muzhukuthurai in this district here said that he is happy to learn that all aspects have been taken care of while constructing these houses.
He lauded the Government for providing the land and the Trust for its vision in making the country Leprosy free.
He also appreciated GSSS for independently constructing 50 houses and the Primary Health Centre. Sikh organisations all over the world were assisting the needy in remote areas, he added.
The Governor said many research works have been done on the disaster management, crisis manasgement and disaster preparedness, after the devastation of tsunami.
He also commended the work of the District Collector Gagandeep Singh Bedi and the District administration for their efforts to restore normalcy in tsunami affected areas.
