Aiyer says preparations for 2010 CWG are well in time

Patiala, Sep 28 (UNI) Union Minister for Sports Mani Shanker Aiyer today dismissed reports that the Commonwealth Federation was unhappy with progress regarding the 2010 games and said all work will finish in time.

He also said that laboratory for the dope testing situated in New Delhi was likely to get accreditation from World Anti Dope Agency (WADA). Mr Aiyer said while the equipment has been purchased, other facilities are being put in place by the end of October.

Aiyer, categorically stated again that the National Institute of Sports would not be shifted out of Patiala. ''I stand by my words, as stated earlier.'' UNI XC DH KP2052
