ABVP workers to be produced before court
Ujjain, Sep 28 (UNI) Six ABVP workers arrested on the charge of murdering Prof H S Sabharwal would be presented before Judicial Magistrate R C Madia here tomorrow on the expiry of their judicial remand.
The ABVP workers, including state ABVP President Shashi Ranjan Singh Akela and Organising Secretary Vimal Tomar, were arrested after the CID was entrusted with the inquiry into the August 26 students violence after postponement of students union elections at Madhav College.
Four other ABVP workers-Hemant Dube, Pankaj Mishra, Sudhir Yadav and Vimal Rajoria-were also arrested on the charge of murdering Prof Sabharwal.
Two other cases were also registered in connection with humiliating and blackening the face of Prof M L Nath and rioting in the college campus and a total of 38 people, including 13 of ABVP and 25 of Congress and NSUI, had been arrested so far. They were released on bail.
