6 injured in stone-pelting

Pune, Sep 28 (UNI) At least six people, including two policemen, were injured when a mob indulged in stone-pelting over a petty dispute here this evening.

Around 250 people had gathered outside the Ghorpadi police station here this evening to resolve the issue of noise levels during the current festival season. Even as their representatives were sorting out the issue with the police officials, a heated argument ensued between those waiting outside.

The argument turned violent and stones were hurled at one another in which six persons, including two policemen from the Ghorpadi police station, were injured. Police have rounded up 13 miscreants and a case has been registered.
