Jaipur, Sep 27 (UNI): The Hindu Mahasabha alleged that Vishwa Hindu Parishad ws adopting dual stand on the Haj House issue just to keep BJP's vote bank intact by trying to keep both Hindus and Muslims happy.

Hindu Mahasabha's state president Dr Pawan Kumar Suraliya said in a statement here that Sangh Parivar's two main constituents VHP and BJP-- are trying to make a name for their Chief Minister over the Haj House issue, which they are hoping will help garner Muslim votes in the coming Uttar Pradesh elections.

He added a section of VHP activists are also protesting against building the Haj House in the Hindu-dominated Sanganer area, thus ensuring Hindu votes in Rajasthan.

He said the Sangh's Hindustan Sammelan in May, the foundation stone laying ceremony and then VHP's contradictory statements over the issue clearly prove that Sangh and VHP's ultimate aim is to protect the interests of the BJP.

The state government has allotted five bighas of land in Ramsinghpura in Sanganer area for a token price of Re 1 for the construction of Haj House, which the local MLA and education minister Ghanshyam Tiwari is opposing as the land is supposed to be pastoral and the decision was taken without taking the local people into confidence.

During the Congress regime, then Chief Mnister Ashok Gehlot had allotted one bigha land in Karbala near Jaipur, a predominantly Muslim locality, for the ahj house.
