Parents row leaves child to bear brunt of winter
Moscow, Sep 27 (UNI) A one-and-half-year baby miraculously survived the cold autumn night alone in a south-eastern Moscow park after her parents argued, fought and went home in different directions.
''Early Saturday morning, a local resident walking in Kuzminki Park discovered an overturned push chair with an 18-month-old girl inside crying,'' the city police said, adding the baby was only dressed in a diaper and children's tights with sandals.
She was rushed to the city's 6th children's hospital.
Doctors said her survival was a miracle given the weather. The temperature during the night was between 8-10 degrees Celsius.
Investigators established that the baby's parents had quarreled and set off in separate directions, each thinking that the other person had taken the child, Liza.
''The 30-year-old lady appeared at home only at 0500 hrs (local time) but was unable to get into the apartment because she had forgotten where the keys were,'' RIA Novosti news agency quoted police as saying.
All this time she thought the father had taken Liza, but the baby's father thought the child was with her mother, it said.
