Only national tricolour to fly high in K'taka Govt buildings
Belgaum, Sep 27 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today assured on the floor of the Assembly that the Government will take suitable action against those hoisting flags other than the national tricolour on Government structures in the State.
Replying to an issue raised by Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha member Vatal Nagaraj that saffron flag was hoisted atop the Belgaum City Corporation building, violating all rules and norms and hurting the sentiments of Kannada-speaking people, he said the Government would take measures to set it right.
However, dissatisfied with the assurance, Mr Nagaraj staged a walk-out in the House.
