Court takes cognizance of defamation case of IPS officer

Patna, Sept 27 (UNI) First class judicial magistrate of Patna Saroj Kumari today took cognizance of the defemation case, filed by IPS officer Amitabh Kumar Das against scribes of a local Hindi daily.

Taking cognizance, the court said summons would be issued against the scribes of the Hindi local daily on October 11.

In the defamation case, Mr Das had alleged that some reports in the local vernacular had tarnished his image.
