ACC receives Good corporate citizen award for the year 2005-06

New Delhi, Sep 27 (UNI) The Associated Cement Companies Ltd (ACC) has received the Good Corporate Citizen award for the year 2005-06 in recognition of its corporate achievements and its ongoing endeavors in improving the quality of life of the community.

The award was recently given at a function organised by the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) in the hands of Minister for Commerce and Industry Kamal Nath to A K Jain, ACC's Director.

The citation singled out the company as being a corporate organisation that ''has always reached out beyond its business interests and adopted a holistic approach of working towards an environmentally sustainable industry while pursuing the objective of creation of a better society.''
