Diwali of spectral colours for these differently abled ones
Guwahati, Sept 26 (UNI) Several differently abled children are going to rejoice Diwali, the festival of lights, in a very novel way splashed with the colours of the rainbow.
City based Sishu Sarothi, an institute for children affected with cerebral palsy, had taken refuge to all the spectral colours to prepare and decorate earthen lamps this Diwali.
'' Braving their physical challenge, these children had been working hard to make these earthen lamps with colours and other decorative materials,''a member of the organisition said.
The institution has organised an exhibition-cum-sale to showcase exemplary skills of these children from today.
The fund gathered from the sale would be used for the betterment of these unprivileged ones.
The institution's management had been buying raw earthen lamps from the wholesale market in the city much ahead of Diwali every year for the last few years.
These lamps were then converted to glitzy decorative lamps by these challenged artists of the institution, sources said.
The most striking feature of the sale is that these lamps have no pricetags and people visiting the stalls pay at their own will.
Anyone dare put a price on it.
