Shimla residents to be fined for not renovating the house
Shimla, Sep 25 (UNI) Every building in the capital hill resort will be required to be renovated at least once in three years and in case of default the owner will be penalised, the Himachal Pradesh cabinet decided in a meeting here today.
The meeting was presided over by the Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.
The Cabinet while taking this decision approved amendment of the Municipal Committee Building Bye Laws, 1998.
The Cabinet decision would imply that in case a resident does not renovate his or her house then, he or she will pay a fine of Rs 50 to Rs 500 per day to the Municipal Committee.
