Jeev safe atop, Gangjee breaks into top 30 of Asian Order of Merit
Kuala Lumpur, Sep 25 (UNI) Jeev Milkhs Singh sits pretty on top of the Asian Tour Order of Merit list while compatriot Rahil Gangjee, thanks to his third place in Korea Open, has broken into the top 30 chart.
Thai star Thaworn Wiratchant, who finished sixth in the Korean Open yesterday, swelled his season's earnings to 192,327 dollar to move up to the 13th place.
Jeev, who finished tied eighth at Acom International yesterday, is firmly on top of the list with 470,108 dollar, well ahead of second placed Korean Charlie Wi who has 329,680.
Shiv Kapur, whose joint effort with Gaurav Ghei failed to win a World Cup berth for India, is sixth in the list with 256,107.59 dollar.
Kolkata-based Gangjee is ranked 29th with 93,588 dollar against his name.
The top 60 players from the UBS Order of Merit will qualify for the season-ending Volvo Masters of Asia in Thai Country Club from December 14-17.
The Asian Tour moves to Taipei for the 500,000 dollar Mercuries Taiwan Masters at Taiwan Golf and Country Club this week.
