Haryana beats Himachal, to meet Delhi in Dhruv Pandove final

Patiala, Sep 25 (UNI) Haryana edged out Himachal Pradesh, thanks to their first innings lead, while Delhi too overcome hosts Punjab to sail into the final of the North Zone Inter-state Under-13 Dhruv Pandove cricket tournament here today.

Haryana won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 138 in 56.1 overs in their first innings. Lalit Choudhary topscored with a fluent 59 for them.

In reply, Himachal were all out for 125 in 59.5 overs with Aditya Kaushik (4/21) and Lalit Choudhary (3/17) running through their batting order. For Himachal, Vikrant was the top scorer with a gritty 46.

In the other match played at the Dhruv Pandove Cricket stadium, Delhi defeated Punjab, on the bases of the first innings lead.

Punjab were bundled out for 150, a total which did not pose any problem to the Delhi batsmen.
