Haryan govt bans sale of imported fertiliser

Chandigarh, Sep 25 (UNI) The Haryana Government today decided to ban the sale of 48 metric tonnes of NPK 19:19:19 fertiliser that was imported from the UAE by Ezzy International of Khargaon in Uttar Pradesh.

This fertiliser is 100 per cent water soluble.

Director of Agriculture Department R K Khullar said that the decision had been taken after receiving an intimation from the Union Government.

A sample of the fertiliser was declared 'Non Standard' by the Regional Fertilizer Control Laboratory at Navi Mumbai with regard to urea nitrogen and water soluble potash, he added.
