Filmmaker Bhansali moves court for anticipatory bail

Mumbai, Sep 25 (UNI) Filmmaker Sanjay Bhansali has moved a local court for anticipatory bail apprehending arrest in connection with a criminal complaint lodged against him by an antique dealer.

Additional sessions judge M L Thaliyani will hear the bail plea on September 28. The judge had earlier granted interim relief to the film-maker and directed the police not to arrest him till disposal of the bail plea.

Antique dealer Farida Hussain Ali had lodged the complaint against Bhansali and had sought compensation for the damage caused to her antique furniture which had been rented out to Bhansali for his film ''Black'' in February 2004. A fire during the shooting had gutted the furniture.
