TN family donates 6.38 acres land for Govt scheme

Chennai, Sep 23 (UNI) In a rare goodwill gesture, a family in Dindigul district, has donated 6.38 acres of land for the free land distribution scheme, launched by the DMK Government.

As the Government launched the free land distribution scheme to benefit the landless farm workers, J K S Manickam family members came forward to donate their land, located at Nilakottai in Dindigul district for the scheme.

The family members handed over the patta and other documents of the land to Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at the Secretariat, an official statement said. Local Administration Minister M K Stalin was present on the occasion, it added.
