Vice-President to take part in MP Assly's golden jubilee valedictory
Bhopal, Sep 22 (UNI) Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat will take part in the valedictory programme of the golden jubilee celebrations of the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha on October 30.
State Assembly Speaker Ishwardas Rohani gave the information during the meeting of the Sadhikar Samiti looking into golden jubilee celebrations.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Opposition Leader Jamuna Devi, Public Relations Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Minister of State for Home Nagendra Singh and Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Hazarilal Raghuvanshi were among others present.
Mr Rohani received the Samiti's approval regarding Mr Shekhawat's proposed programmes.
After addressing the Vidhan Sabha members, the Vice-President will take part in tree plantation and group photograph with assembly members.
He will also be present during dance presentation by renowned dancer Hema Malini and her troupe at Mansarovar hall in the Vidhan Sabha premises on October 30.
The meeting approved organising of seminars in Jabalpur, Indore, Sagar, Rewa and Bhopal divisions in September's last week and October.
The seminars would focus on participation of public and people's representatives in developing parliamentary procedures, media's role in parliamentary procedures in the past 50 years, Madhya Pradesh's achievement in parliamentary democracy in the past 50 years, etc.
Several leaders were expected to participate in these seminars.
During the meeting, a 'Hasya Kavi Sammelan' on October 31 and Teejanbai's Pandwani song programme on November 1 were approved.
