TAFS thrashes Gujarat boys 7-2 in Subroto Cup

New Delhi, Sep 22 (UNI) N G Berona pumped in a fiver while Mithun Saha scored a quartet as Poura Patha Bhaban, Haldia (West Bengal) ran amok, in the process trampling The Air Force School (TAFS) by a whopping 16-0 margin in the junior section of the Subroto cup football tournament here today.

In a complete mismatch, the Bengal school opened the account as early as in the second minute through Lalchuanawma. The floodgates were opened and TAFS stood stupefied as the Bengal school completed the humiliation.

In other matches, Nanda Naraya's hat-trick helped Tripura Sports High Scool rout Jumna Christian Inter College, Allahabad 5-0 while Dhondacham High School, Golaghat, Assam defeated Vallabh Ashram's MGM Amin&VN Savani School, Valsad (Gujarat) 8-1.

Meanwhile, Rosary Higher Secondary School Salcete, Goa scraped past Bhadharghar beat BKSP, Dhaka (Bangladesh) 1-0 with Stanley Fernandes scoring the lone goal in the 38th minute.
