Recording of witnesses in Monica case completed

Hyderabad, Sept 22: The CBI court today completed the process of recording the statements of all witnesses in Monica Bedi case.

Ms Bedi, companion of underworld don Abu Salem, who was in judicial custody and shifted to the Chanchalguda women's prison, was charged under provisions of the Passport Act, 1967, Sections 417 and 420, both relating to cheating, Section 471 for knowingly using forged documents and Section 468 for forgery for the purpose of cheating.

Besides recording the statements of 38 witnesses in Monica case, the court also recorded the statment of CBI investigation officer Vijayasaradhi as a witness in this case today.

The court would hear the statments relating to Ms Monica and take her opinion on these statments.
