1police, 7 others arrested in foreign currency racket

Sambalpur, Sep 22: The Jharsuguda police today arrested seven persons including one sub-inspector Sachidananda Nayak on charges of illegal possession of one million American dollars.

Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police Santosh Bala said the USA Treasuries Department had been informed about the huge recover US Dollar from these people.

'' Since last two month we were trying to nab the persons involved in the racket,''Mrs Bala said.

Besides, the sub-inspector, seven other persons were arrested in this connection.

Police also apprehends that some more influential people were involved in it.
