India gets silver at Asian Men's Jr Volleyball Tourney

Chennai, Sep 22 (UNI) After a gap of four years, India faltered at the 'final' hurdle against Iran and had to be content with the Silver medal in the Asian Junior Men's Volleyball Championship at Teheran, late last night.

The Indian juggernaut that rolled splendidly was brought to a halt by hosts Iran in the last final league match.

India lost the crucial match 15-25, 17-25, 17-25 in straight sets and had to be content with the silver, according to information received by the Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) here today.

This was the only loss suffered by the Indians in the tournament and that cost them the title.
