Delhi plays host to music release of 'With Luv Tumhara'
New Delhi, Sep 22: Delhi seems to be fast becoming a favourite destination for celebrities from the tinsel world of Mumbai with a number of film premieres and music release functions being held in the capital over the last couple of months.
After the star-studded music release of Karan Chaudhry's 'Manoranjan' a couple of months ago and the 'star-lit' premiere of Aditya Dutt's 'Dil Diya Hai' last month, Delhiites witnessed another starry night as the ethereal Preeti Jhangiani and dashing Nakul Vaid (of 'Ab Tak Chhappan' fame) lend glitter to an event for the music release of their forthcoming film 'With Luv Tumhara', which stars Preeti and Nakul as the lead pair besides Pravin Dabas and Anupama Verma.
Also gracing the event, organised by 'Music Today', were TV star Abhinav Chaturvedi (of 'Hum Log' fame), the director of 'With Luv Tumhara' Kamal D Nathani, producer Rakesh Bhhatia, music director Sudeep Banerjee and business director of Music Today Gurmeet Singh.
Pravin Dabas and Anupama Verma could, however, not make it to the event due to their prior engagements.
Speaking on the occasion, Gurmeet Singh, the business director of Music Today, which has made a foray into film music in the last few years with movies like 'Maqbool', 'Seher', 'Morning Raga' and 'Devaki', said ''as a music company, it has always been our endeavour to present innovative musical sounds through many of our non-film albums released over the last few months. Through our film albums too we have strived to provide a refreshing and heart-warming melody to the music lovers, a quality that characterised the music of 'Maqbool', 'Seher' and 'Morning Raga'. The music of 'With Luv Tumhara' is an example of this philosophy.''
About the music of 'With Luv Tumhara', Mr Singh said,''the USP of the film's music is the variety of melody in its songs. All compositions are extremely heart-warming and melodious and have been complemented by some of the best voices in the industry like Shreya Ghoshal, Shaan and Kailash Kher. Further, all tracks in the film are perfectly in accordance with the thematic conceptualization of the film.'' A story of relationship, of bonding and of sacrifice, 'With Luv Tumhara' highlights a young girl's dilemma in expressing her love and highlighting the pain in her chaotic life.
As the film readies for release on October 13, the film's lead actor Preeti Jhangiani is all excitement. ''Playing Anuradha, the small town girl who transforms from a gleeful character to a vulnerable, helpless woman, has been the most challenging role of my life. What makes 'With Luv Tumhara' different from other Bollywood love stories is the fact that unlike most other love stories, the portrayal of the characters in the film had to be more subtle to give a realistic look to the film,'' she said.
She said the film would give one a feel of the 60s when love stories were ruling the roost at the box office. The music of the film has been scored by Sudeep Banerjee, a professional singer who has received training under the Patiala Gharana. Sudeep has earlier given music for Sagar Sarhadi's 'Chausar', which was screened at the Asian film festival last year.
