Coca-Cola welcomes order; hopes other states will revoke ban

Kochi, Sep 22 (UNI) Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Ltd. today welcomed the Kerala high court judgement revoking the August ten state government ban on the production and sale of Coca-Cola and hoped other state government will reconsider similar bans.

In a statement here, the company said that it was completely confident about the safety of its drinks in India, which are produced to the same level of purity, regarding pesticides, as the European Union criteria for bottled water.

It hoped that other state governments, which had banned or restricted the sale of soft drinks, would reconsider their orders.
