Chamber welcomes High Court order to quash ban on colas

Kochi, Sep 22 (UNI) The Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry today welcomed the Kerala High Court verdict quashing the State Government's order to ban manufacture and sale of Coca Cola and Pepsi.

In a statement here, Chamber President John K Paul urged the government to come out with guidelines for the production of soft drinks, which would be abided by the manufacturers.

It showed that the government was misguided or not been given complete information and had sent wrong signals in the international arena and slowed down foreign direct investment process in the state, he added.

The government, which was trying to woo investors to the state should have taken a mature decision in this regard, he noted.
