Haridwar, Sep 21 (UNI) The Uttaranchal Women Commission today said it has brought to light a case of sexual exploitation of a minor school girl residing in a children's home run by a Christian missionary at Dehradun.

Commission chairperson Dr Santosh Chauhan and member Rehana Kamar told mediapersons here that the girl, a student of class XI in CNI school at Dehradun, was allegedly raped at the residence of the Manager of the Children's Home where she used to go for domestic work.

After the girl narrated the story of her sexual exploitation to one of her classmates, she was blackmailed and sexually abused by him also, the girl told the Commission.

The girl told the Commission she had been made to undergo an abortion in June after she became pregnant Dr Chauhan further said that after getting information in this regard, she, along with a team of the Commission, visited the CNI school and the Children's home in Dehradun and talked to the hostel warden and some classmates of the victim.

''The warden and the students have confirmed the sexual exploitation of the girl,'' Dr Chauhan said, adding that in July, the girl was shifted from the Children's Home to the CNI school hostel and a few days ago, when the matter started leaking out, the victim was shifted to the Children's Home at Roorkee, also run by the Christian missionary.

She said that the Commission had asked the Chief Manager of the Children's Home at Dehradun to file an FIR against all the accused, failing which the Commission would itself file charges.
