Police file FIR against Shiv Sena Delhi chief for inciting violence
New Delhi, Sep 21 (UNI) The Delhi Police have lodged an FIR against Delhi Shiv Sena president Jai Bhagwan Goyal and several other party leaders for allegedly fomenting violence during yesterday's 'bandh' in the capital.
The case, registered at Khajuri Khas police station in North-East Delhi, charged the Shiv Sena leader with inciting violence and damaging public property.
In his reaction to the slapping of the case against him, Mr Goyal said the protests were spontaneous and reflected the anger and pain of the people of the national capital against the anti-people policies of the Congress government -- both at the Centre and in Delhi.
Making a dig at the BJP for its 'ambiguous' stand on the issue, the Shiv Sena leader said the party had rendered lakhs of people jobless by sealing small-scale industries during the NDA regime.
Demanding immediate Central legislation to stop the sealing and demolition drive in Delhi, Mr Goyal said, ''Both the Congress and the BJP are guilty of snatching the livelihood of the common man and will pay a heavy price for it.'' UNI AN RL HT1818
