Reformation in steel sector urged by SAIL Chairman
Bokaro, Sep 20 (UNI) In order to bring reformation in the steel industry Chairman of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) Sushil Kumar Rungta stressed the need to reduce production cost and implement safety measures in the industrial units of steel.
Mr Rungta was on his first visit of SAIL in Bokaro last evening as chairman.
He inspected various functioning units including coke oven, Steel Melting Shop-2, hot strip mill and cold rolling mill of the unit. He also discussed about various projects and production target of the unit with the employees.
Mr Rungta discussed about slow production caused by disturbances and delay in work and its effect on the industry.
Going back to the history of SAIL as the most profitable unit the chairman said he would put his efforts to revive the history.
