One killed in police firing in Bharatpur
Jaipur, Sep 20 (UNI) A boy was killed in police firing after quarrel broke out between some villagers and a police patrol party last night in Bharatpur district.
According to Bharatpur SP Anand Srivastav, the incident took place at Rareha village some 13 Km from the city. He said the patrol party led by SHO of Udyog Nagar, had a face off with one Puran Singh, a gambler of the village last night. The police patrol team left the village after warning Mr Puran Singh. Mr Puran SIngh's men attacked the same patrol party after blocking the road on return. The police resorted to firing killing a boy Shiv Kumar alias Sibbu (13) of Nangla Chuba village.
Mr Srivastav, said two police personnel were referred to the SMS hospital Jaipur. He denied the allegation of the villgers that the police party were in a drunken state. The situation in the village is tense but under control.
