Dasara film festival in Mysore from Sep 23

Mysore, Sep 20 (UNI) Film buffs have a reason to cheer this Dasara season as a week-long Dasara film festival will be held here from September 23.

Speaking to reporters here, Dasara Film Festival Committee Chairman M P Shankar said. 38 Kannada award winning films and other commercial films would be screened in five cinemas in the city.

Noted film star Vishnuvardhan would inaugurate the film festival on September 23 at Kalamandala in the presence of late matinee idol Rajkumar's wife Parvathamma. Leading film stars from the country were expected to grace the occasion and State Revenue Minister Jagdish Shettar would preside over it.
