BJP leader L K Advani on a one day visit to Gujarat on Sep 25

Rajkot, Sep 20 (UNI) Former Deputy Prime Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L K Advani will be on a one-day visit to Gujarat on September 25.

Rajkot Mayor Dhansukh Bhanderi and Standing Committee Chairman Nitin Bhardwaj said, ''Mr Advani will be arriving here in the afternoon of September 25 to inaugurate the newly constructed building of Zonal office of the Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC).'' As per his scheduled programme, Mr Advani will be arriving at Ahmedabad from where he would visit Somnath to commemorate his historic 'Yatra' which began sixteen years ago in 1990.

For the past 16 years - since 1990 he has been coming to Somnath this very day (September 25) for the 'Darshan' of Lord Somanth. A new chapter in Indian politics began when he embarked on the rath yatra from Somnath.

The Zonal Office of RMC for the western sector of the city constructed at the cost of about rupees three crore, Mr Bhardwaj said.

Civic facilities in the zonal office would be available for the people of ward nos - one, two, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 21, Mr Bhardwaj said.

Another Zonal Office would soon start for the people of eastern sector of the city to avail the civic facilities, Mr Bhardwaj added.
