CPI-ML to vote against UPA's floor test tomorrow
Ranchi, Sep 19 (UNI) With barely few hours left for tomorrow's crucial floor test for the new Madhu Koda-led UPA government, lone CPI-ML MLA Vinod Kumar Singh tonight said he will vote against the motion tomorrow.
The UPA, supposed to muster the support of 43 MLAs in the House, had furnished the list of 42, with Mr Singh yet to come to fold.
CPI-ML's state secretary Subhendu Sen today expressing concern over the election of an Independent MLA as the Chief Minister said the JMM despite having the highest number of 17 MLAs was not treated properly.
He said all the four Ministers, who were administered oath yesterday, were rebels from the erstwhile Arjun Munda-led NDA government.
Mr Sen charged the Congress with not showing seriousness about the future and stability of the UPA government in the state and added that the party was using Mr Koda for its vested interests.
According to political observers here, if the lone CPI-ML member tomorrow votes against the UPA then the situation would be poised delicately as the arithmatic shows that the opposition NDA which has 39 would stand at 40 against the 41 of the UPA.
So far the UPA excluding the CPI-ML member consists of JMM (17), Cong (9), RJD (7), UGDP (2), Forward Bloc (2), including the expelled MLA from the party, Independent (1) and four members who left the NDA on september 5 to become ministers in the new UPA government. FB said it would give outside support to the UPA governemnt.
The NDA now comprised BJP (30), JD-U (6), AJSU (2) and nominated (1). CPI-ML has said it will vote against the UPA.
