Suzlon's US subsidiary bags 247 MW order
Mumbai, Sept 18: Suzlon Wind Energy Corporation, USA, the wholly owned subsidiary of Suzlon Energy A/S (SEAS), Denmark and the international business arm of the company finalised an agreement with John Deere Wind Energy.
Announcing this to BSE, the company said the agreement is to supply 247 MW wind turbines, the delivery of which will take place throughout 2007. With this, the company has a current consolidated order book position of Rs 5777 crore, with Rs 4977 crore in international orders and Rs 800 crore in domestic orders.
On August 23, 2006, SEAS, Denmark, secured an order from Maestrale Green Energy of Italy for 21 mw to be supplied in 10 units of Suzlon's S88-2.1 mw turbine, it added.
