Sha Rukh Khan criticises "A" certificate for smoking scene in a film
Bangalore, Sep 18 (UNI) Bollywood superstar Sha Rukh Khan has opposed the proposal of branding a film with smoking scene under the category of 'A' certificate by the Censor Board.
Speaking on the sidelines of releasing BIOMAb-EGFR, a drug against neck and head cancer developed by the country's Biotech Company, BIOCON, here he said while he was personally against it, if it was enforced one has to obey it as a law-abiding citizen of the country.
Describing the idea to categorise those cinemas which depicts the smoking scenes as 'Cultural invasion and undemocratic', Khan said it is not good on the part of those who were thinking on this line.
The superstar, who himself is a chain smoker, however, said he is trying to give up smoking gradually.
Replying to questions about his next movie, Khan said his next project focuses on the status of Indian women who were getting a raw-deal in society. ''Treatment of women in India was not justified many times and the same would be depicted in its real sense,'' he added.
