Manipur Hockey players yet to get cash prize

Imphal, Sep 18 (UNI) Manipur hockey team is yet to get the cash award in spite of Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh's assurances to the players after they won sub-junior National Hockey Championship in 2005.

Sources said the Chief Minister had announced that each player would be given Rs 20,000 as awards.

The issue was raised in the assembly during the zero hour today and it was revealed that even after one year, they did not receive the award money.
