Jacobite Syrian Church to hold delegate meeting from Sep 30

Kochi, Sep 18 (UNI) The Jacobite Syrian Church of the Angamali Diocese will hold a delegate meeting in Aluva near here from September 30.

Addressing mediapersons here today, Metropolitan Joseph More Gregorious said the meeting would be held to take important decisions relating to the Church.

He said a blue print of an action plan to be undertaken to retain the Trikunnathu seminary and other churches would be presented in the meeting for approval.

The meeting would also urge the government to maintain statusquo on the closed churches and open it for the devotees to offer prayers.

He said the meeting would also make an appeal to the government to stop the intervention of the police in the diocese.

The meeting would also chalk out programmes to revise the governing structure of the diocese, he added.
