ITPO to organise fair "Aahar Chennai 2006" from Sep 20
Chennai, Sep 18 (UNI) After organising 21 editions in New Delhi, the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) turned to Chennai to launch its maiden Southern edition fair "Aahar Chennai 2006", showcasing the Food and Hospitality industry.
The launch of the Chennai edition at the Chennai Trade Centre from September 20 to 23 was an acknowledgement of the growing potential of processed food and associated sectors in the Southern Region in raising the profile and quantum of India's exports in this priority areas of the economy.
The four-day business oriented, specialised fair would be inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Textiles E V K S Elangovan on September 20, an ITPO release here said.
The fair was being organised with the support of Ministry of Food Processing Industries. More than 80 leading Indian companies would showcase their products for discerning buyers from different parts of the country, it said.
The fair would encompass all aspects of food and hospitality industry and would focus on air and water pollution control equipment and accessories, the release added.
