Guj Gas enters into gas purchase with BGEPIL

New Delhi, Sep 18: Gujarat Gas Company Ltd today said its board has approved entering into a long-term gas purchase agreement with group company BG Exploration and Production India Ltd (BGEPIL) Under the agreement, BGEPIL, an arm of Brittain's BG Group, will supply gas volumes of 1.65 million standard cubic meters per day to the company.

The flow of gas is likely to commence in the third quarter of 2007, a company statement said.

In June, Gujarat Gas entered into a Business Transfer Agreement with another group company BG India Energy Services Pvt Ltd (BGIESPL) for acquiring its business of Cogeneration of power (Cogen), by way of transfer of assets and liabilities on a slump sale basis, for about Rs 10.97 crore.
